Today we are going on a tour of the Island as Lee is leaving tomorrow.
More and more boats are coming in now even Island Kia arrived yesterday. Sad news [...]

HMG crossed the finish line with a total elapsed time of 16d 23h 35m 25s
I’m sure they’ll be in touch soon with an update on the crossing but until then I think they’ll be in a bar somewere. Nearly 17 days without alcohol, that’s tough

From 308 miles from St Lucia. I am pleased to report that we are still alive and well and can’t wait to get to SL. Saturday night we went through some amazing storms. Really scary especially as they are now saying that this is now over Puerto Rico and is [...]

An email from HMG at 12:43 GMT reports as follows:
We have suffered steering failure. Emergency repairs are underway and no assistance is required.
As soon as I know anymore I’ll update you all.
It will most probably be repaired with bits of string, some sticky tape and a blob of glue.

went through an almighty weather system, lightning, thunder all around
us. Having a large mast was not the most [...]

Just a quick message to confirm that we are all OK We are having an atrocious crossing. Last night gale 10 in storms. We are running under storm jib alone and continue to make 7+ knots. Our only aim is to get to St Lucia, don’t care if we come last, as long as we [...]

At 21.56 we are at 18.46.N 45.50 W – No engine hours and 914 miles left to go. They have reported winds with gusts up to 50 knots further south and the sea state is horrid.
Just finished watch but wont send this out until Friday morning. We hope to be in by Tuesday. Fingers crossed [...]

All is well on board.
Yesterday we sailed into a wind pocket, or should I say windless. 5 knots of breeze. Boat speed went down to 3 knots but we struggled on. A massive weather front was to the south west of us and we saw the breeze on the water and headed towards [...]
News from the sea

Yesterday we had a critical situation in that the Diesel filter to the generator cracked and we found that we had lost about a quarter of a tank of diesel into the bilges. This in the first instance meant, no engine, no generator, no recharging of batteries, hence no email, SSB, only half a [...]
